ABOUT THE HOST

Rutendo Nyamuda has worked across various areas of the entertainment industry including: journalism, TV production, corporate video production and PR.

 

She has written for prominent publications including: ELLE SA, Forbes Africa, Forbes Life Africa and Forbes Woman Africa, CNBC Africa Online and the Huffington Post.

 

She spent sometime working in TV as an account manager and content producer on The Expresso Morning Show as well as The Afternoon Express Show (SABC3).

 

She then worked for an independent production company that told corporates stories through video.

In August 2018, Rutendo launched her first podcast "In My 20s". A podcast for millennials on life, work and dealing with the quarter life crisis. The podcast has been featured in the media on platforms such as Glamour and the Plug.

During the Mandela Centenary, Rutendo was the MC for the press briefing for the official Nelson Mandela Centenary T-Shirt Launch in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. She currently serves as Treasurer on the EXCO for the Ernst & Young Toastmasters Club (Cape Town).

Rutendo holds a Bachelors in Film and Media Production, with a Major in Print  Journalism, from the University of Cape Town. In addition, she also holds a Certificate in Media Training.
